Helping delivery
A growing baby will begin to stretch out our abdominal muscles and put an increasing strain on our pelvic floor. Pilates aims to strengthen these areas - helping delivery and recovery.
Postural changes
Postural changes will occur throughout pregnancy, which may lead to aches and pains - especially low back pain. Postural awareness and the correct strengthening will help avoid this
Your back
Our upper body is also affected as a result of postural changes - mobility work and postural training is key during pregnancy. Not to mention strengthening the upper back and arm muscles to prepare for carrying a growing baby!
Your neck
Neck pain can also be avoided with Pilates, caused by growing breasts and postural changes. Avoidance is always better than cure!
